Who I Am
Not only do I deeply ascribe to the concept of wabi-sabi, but I also see my pieces as a reflection of the human condition. For most of my life, I have striven for perfection in all that I do, yet this quixotic quest has only left me disappointed and self-loathing at falling short of the goal. Through many years of practice, (and even more years of work with amazing therapists) I have come to not only accept my imperfections, but appreciate them for the character which they imbue in me. After all, perfect is boring, and imperfect is interesting. No two of my pieces are exactly alike, many include bark/worm, or pith inclusions, and most involve some amount of cracking or damage (either naturally or by my amateur hand). Rather than reject them for these imperfections, I choose to celebrate them and share them with you. I love them all, and hope that you enjoy them as well.

Pieces can be commissioned at minimal charge for charitable organizations. While I never charge for my labor or use of tools, there are consumables (wood, sandpaper, finish, etc) utilized in the production of pieces.
